Happy and joyful again, a miracle happened

I tell them as they were told to me.

I am not claiming anything, but only this: people have faith and according to that faith and expectancy, things happen, amazing things.

This woman, whom I know personally, is a very dear old friend of mine who lives in a big city in South America. She has always been cheerful and a joy to everyone who meets her, a great mother, a hard-worker now retired. Her only daughter loves her very much.

She is older now, past seventy five and, therefore a bit less strong than she used to be. But she did not seem to be in bad health.

Until she visited the doctor with what appeared to be stomach and digestion problems. The physician decided to have some lab work done.

After a few days, he called her back to his office and what happened next was not precisely what she had in mind. She was her usual joyful self when she said hello to the doctor who was also her friend, but after a while she was joyful no more.

He told her grave news, she had a violent type of cancer.

"But how can it be?" she asked, I don´t feel that bad.

"The results don´t lie" the doctor said "I had the lab do them twice, just in case"

After that visit a surgical procedure was scheduled and my friend became the saddest soul on earth. She lost all her happiness and will.

For days on end, she cried and cried, refusing to eat or do anything of value.

Her daughter, who tired her best, saw no other solution than to call a friend.

Her friend is a relative of mine, a woman older than the sick lady, but one who has a faith like a rock.
She went to visit the sick woman and once he had seen her, she simply said:

"You won´t be sick anymore, I am going to pray to the Lord Jesus, that you don´t be sick anymore.

"It´s cancer" the other woman said in a voice that was already predicting her demise.

"Jesus does not care what it is, he will heal you." And my relative began to pray. Day and night she prayed, but you should have listened to her. She did not hold any doubts, she prayed with a conviction that I could only say I envy. She was certain, she was absolutely sure that the sick woman would recover.

She prayed like Jesus told us to pray, believing that what she was asking was going to be given to her, or to others she prayed for; and after a while, she went back home.

Pre-surgical tests were programmed, the doctor had to know how the cancer had evolved before operating on her patient. And when they came back he asked the lab to make sure they did not make other embarrassing mistakes again, where was the cancer and how it had developed, those were his instructions.

The lab assistant was a little angry at this rebuke.

"Everything is there" he said.

"It can´t be" said the doctor, "where is the cancer?"

"Well, said the man from the lab "there is no cancer."

"Do it again, please"

He did and the results were the same, there was no cancer.

Is it explainable? Maybe not, to the unbelievers.
But my relative says this:

"The Lord provided us with a miracle and I am thankful."

She has the right to be, and she can also be happy for her friend, who is happy and joyful again.
